I was so lucky that I had a beautiful day to drive down to High Point. It’s about 350 miles, and I generally stop along the way to take pictures, pop into antiques and junk shops, and see the scenery. 
I know. It boggles the mind, doesn’t it?
My schedule at High Point is full of parties, tours, and other events. I am just going to summarize for the next two days, and then I will do some extensive posts. Hope you’ll stay tuned!
I started with a lunch at Lillian August, just a spectacular collection of great pieces. 
One of the things that I loved about this showroom was their amazing flowers, especially the arrangements with cherry blossoms. 
They were scattered around the showroom, and really enhanced the pieces. 
From there, I headed over to Theodore Alexander’s massive showroom, and a personal tour of the Keno Brothers new furniture line. 
Although most people know them from the Antiques Roadshow, where they’ve been hosting for 17+ years, their collection reflects their personal tastes – more mid-century modern. The workmanship on their pieces is extraordinary. 
I was so honoured to have the chance to meet Leigh and Leslie, and thank them for their personal tour of their collection.
Then it was off to a little party at Madcap Cottage. 
They worked on the Junior League Showhouse in Greensboro, being presented in conjunction with the High Point Market.
Popped over to Baker Furniture, where I wasn’t allowed to take any pictures, and then went to the Architecture Digest party! After many years, I finally got to meet fellow blogger, Grant Gibson! 
One of the most rewarding and gratifying things about blogging is meeting your blog friends in person. If you’re not reading Grant’s blog, you should! He is smart, funny and super-talented!
